“Six – Month Federal Budget Deficit: $1.1 Trillion”

I’ve borrowed the above brief article title words from the WSJ yesterday.   The subtitle words are… “Interest on the public debt rose 43%, and now exceeds defense outlays.”

America… we are simply self destroying our self.   We are our own worst enemy!  This one USA citizen since his conception… delivery… in the year 1942; thanks Mom, simply states the truth – politicians, bureaucrats, judges, attorneys, lobbyists and all DC’s nincomPOOPs… the Debt Capital smellyones… simply ignore meeting freedoms #1 need – individual and community RESPONSIBILITY.

There oughta be a law!

Is America addicted to materialism? What’s the cost of this addiction?

“Just the facts, ma’am” pls A… answer … the Q… questions above :

·         Materialism comprises a set of values and goals focused on wealth, possessions, image, and status. These aims are a fundamental aspect of the human value/goal system, standing in relative conflict with aims concerning the well-being of others, as well as one's own personal and spiritual growth.

o   Substantial evidence shows that people who place a relatively high priority on materialistic values/goals consume more products and incur more debt, have lower-quality interpersonal relationships, act in more ecologically destructive ways, have adverse work and educational motivation, and report lower personal and physical well-being.

·          https://www.amazon.com/High-Price-Materialism-Tim-Kasser/dp/026261197X

o   He shows that people whose values center on the accumulation of wealth or material possessions face a greater risk of unhappiness, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and problems with intimacy

·         Okay, do you often wonder as do I… why on garbage pickup day does it appear to me that all my neighbors have 2 – 5 kids when they don’t have any?

o   Materialistic people tend to buy things to bolster their self-esteem and identity.

o   Materialism and shopping addiction can screw up our relationships in many ways, and they are not all obvious.

·         Now… is there any humor to the above mess besides the 24/7 stupid news programs, endless advertisements and dumb interviews with our DC (Debt Capital)… 435/100/9/1+++000,000’s smellyones… nincomPOOPs?
