S and P 500 – a brief look/see and a bit more

We borrowed this –

The S&P 500, or simply the S&P, is a stock market index that measures the stock performance of 500 large companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States. It is one of the most commonly followed equity indices, and many consider it to be one of the best representations of the U.S. stock market. Wikipedia

Here is what the fund chart looked like recently –

It closed at a high of 3386.15 on Feb 19 and closed on Mar 16 at 2386.13 or down 1000 – a decline of about 30%.   Do we the people know what is going on…well read on pls.

We borrowed this –

We say the obvious answer to the question above – do we know what is going on, last 10 years or so? – is NO.  NO, no one does…but we do have an idea…that’s all…and it ain’t good.

We do try to stay away from what is now flowing from those paid a lot while not doing what need be done.  We call that group – nincomPOOPs and if you’ve read here before…well you don’t really have to read here.  Turn on the tv – read something on your computer – buy/read a newspaper – listen to politicians/athletes after they've won – etc. – or talk to someone about filing a lawsuit or joining those who have.

What need be done?  Our quick list – pls add as needed… …working/building/repairing/teaching/growing/harvesting/healing/inventing/defending/repaying DEBT, etc.  Some call it “productivity.”    It was America and why it was founded not all that long ago.  What need be done again....?
