American Federation for Children

Before we start a few comments – here is their website:  http://www.federationforchildren.org/
Their leader – a top woman from Michigan – is Betsy DeVos.  And, as you may know, Mr. Trump just named her – Education Secretary.  We knew she was in the running – we hoped she would be appointed.

And here is why:
Mrs. DeVos is the chairman of the American Federation for Children.  Here is their mission
The American Federation for Children and the Alliance for School Choice seek to improve our nation’s K-12 education by advancing systemic and sustainable public policy that empowers parents, particularly those in low-income families, to choose the education they determine is best for their children.
Their vision:
We believe public education must be defined as providing families with the public funding they need to choose the education they determine is best for their children.

The American Federation for Children envisions an education system where parents are empowered to choose the best educational environment for their child, where innovation and entrepreneurism revolutionizes our education system, ensuring all children, especially low-income children, are provided with the opportunity to receive the finest education possible, whether it be in a traditional public school, public charter school, virtual learning, private school, home school or blended learning.
Here is what they do:
The American Federation for Children focuses its time and resources on supporting state-level efforts to provide low-income and middle class families with access to great schools through publicly-funded private school choice. We also work strategically with school choice allies in the charter school community. The family of school choice includes school vouchers, scholarship tax credit programs, Education Savings Accounts, public charter schools, virtual charter schools, home schools, and meaningful public school choice.

All we can say is – good job Mr. Donald – terrific choice.  And to Mrs. DeVos – we, TheFundamentals, as well as this old guy will be more than pleased and honored to help you in any way possible.  America needs this change, more than we can say!

A wonderful Thanksgiving gift to the United States of America!  And we mean every American youngster and student!  Sit tight folks - this is one heck of a needed change and it will rattle out the nonsense of a large group in our country that simply needs to move on!

I anticipate the Mrs. DeVos will push for charter schools nationally. I would hope any charter schools pushed on a national level will follow a different model than used in Michigan. The Massachusetts or Washington DC models would be better.

Did I just hear a death knell for public schools? Or was it last call for teachers' unions? Maybe it was the old school bell ringing to call in a new birth of education. Whatever it was, it means that bloated, lazy, uninspiring, teachers, indeed the whole public school system will be reduced to handling the outcasts, incorrigibles, truants, troublemakers, etc. while the rest of the country sends it children someplace to be educated.

If he pulls this off, Trump's legacy is eternal.

So, how do you start a school, anyone?
